What are the improvements?

I still have version 15, I think. What are the improvements included in versions 16, 17 or 18, specially on the bluetooth side of things (i.e., can it now see incoming text messages, etc.) or MP3

unlike updating the sw, activating the bluetooth isn't free 
. you can tell your dealer something wrong w/your car or idrive and they'll update the sw under warranty but they'll charge you at least an hour labor for bluetooth activation (they charged me 2 hours). updating the sw also improves the throttle delay that some of us had experienced. i have 16.2 but i remember at least one member mentioned 17.x and up is even better than 16.2.

Don't know if u found the 18.xx info but just in case I did locate it.
