Have this piece in my drivers side trunk and it is just bouncing around back there. Anyone know what it is for and possible where it is suppose to be mounted ?

Any idea where this is suppose to be mounted ? It’s just sitting there and I do not see a bracket to mount it.

It goes where you put it. It went in the spare tire area but needed to be relocated due to water damage.

I mean, I don't think you want it just unfastened and rolling around. What happened is BMW decided that all the electronic that were installed under the floor of the trunk should be relocated to the side someplace. The problem was a spilled container of something in the trunk or clogged sunroof drains could fill that space with water and mess up the electronics. Anyway, find someplace to secure it with zip ties or screws. Maybe some foam tape to keep things from squeaking.
