okay...so I was on the freeway, and suddenly a low tire pressure sign came up.
so I stopped at a gas station to take a look.....and this is how it was omg...
the innerside of the tire was damaged, and as you can see on the last two pics, there were some sort of burned marks.
I have no idea what caused the damage..

fyi, I have style 124 on my 530 xi. I think the offsets of the wheels are too low, compared to the factory offset (43ET).
I purchased them from BMW dealer, and they never asked me for offset or anything like that..
so maybe the burned marks are from rubbing???

I need your opinion guys..

Looks like your car has an alignment problem...The tire wore through on the inside....The rubbing mark on your inner fender wall is probably from part of the tire coming off and hitting the plastic fender!

Those tires were shot before they were rubbing!! Any slight rubbing would have worn right through those paper thin tires.

What are the offsets stamped on the inside spoke of the rims? Should say ET plus a 2 digit #. ie. ET32

EDIT: Insides of our rear tires wear faster due to high negative camber on our cars. That was not cause by rubbing, those tires are just shot.

But if your tires were in bad shape already from a poor alignment, then it would just be a matter of time till this happened...I would get some new tires and have them redo the alignment...Most of the time, they will warranty the alignment for a few months...

You can tell by your tires that the alignment was bad....The uneven wear is the evidence!
