How do you get the "additional information" part? TIA

it was just there when I entered my VIN...sounds like its not a good source though. I think the best source is going to the BMW dealership and asking for a VIN decode (they should do it free of charge)

My Ride: 2007 530i, Mystic Blue, Premium Package, Beige Dakota Leather, Steptronic, Navigation, Heated Seats, Premium Sound Pkg, Satellite Radio. 2001 325Cic Convertible, Premium and Sport Package, Premium Sound, Steptronic, Heated seats

Worked fine for me on both the 325 and the 530 - except it showed manual transmission and both are Steptronic.

My Ride: My ex-ride: EU '08 LCI 520dA. Space Grey, Sport Seats in Black Leather/Fabric Anthracite, Sport Steering Wheel, A/C with Extended Features, Hi-Fi Speakers, Cup Holders, Cruise with Braking function, Folding Rear Seats, Xenons, Park Distance Control.

Both the mentioned link and http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ gives also my car false details,

but at least realOEM can give you a hint of what parts one's possible looking for.
