it seems your AC is broken.
Take it to a BMW dealer or check yourself with a OBD2 diagnostic and see any error.

I'm experiencing the same problem on my 05 530i. I brought it into the dealer but just so happens the entire week that I had my car there, the temp didn't go about 65 so they couldn't replicate the problem. I'll stop by once it gets hot enough and replicate it for them while I'm there. A few others that I've talked to that encountered the same problem say it's either the A/C regulator or the A/C compressor.

its wierd how similar of a problem every one is having on these forums about the a/c and yet havent found a definitive solution for it!!! i would take it to a dealer but i bought this car used and its way past its warranty, i do not want to spend a bundle on a car thats only 3 years old, especially a beamer that has an a/c crappier than an old corolla!!!
