I have ordered a Platimum Bronze car with Natural brown leather. I thought that because the exterior was very light that I should get the light poplar to tie it into the black/brown interior. The dealers here don't have a light poplar car, anyone have photos?

I have the same dilema, so last night I was playing with options on the german configurator. I have to change my order before it goes into production as I am now leaning towards the light poplar.

I have light poplar wood trim on my new 528xi, believe me it is a very good contrast with the side black strips.
Black Dashboard and side strip should have light color trim for good contrast, I think.

Would have preferred poplar brown/aluminum/ grey trim(www.bmw.com) in the black strip (these are not available in US).

I'm going through the same process as well. My current car (Alpine White) has gray leather with dark poplar and it blends in fine. My new car is going to to be white with the beige leather (ventilated seats) so I'm thinking the light poplar will work better than the dark.

Anyone else have opinions or pics?

Time to change the Avetar Rudy!. It scares the shit out of me.

With a white car and cream beige, I would go with darker would. With a dark car, lighter wood.

Looks good. Thanks.

I think I'm sticking with the light poplar and the beige ventilated seats...
