I have it, but I have never used it.
For the extra $600 or whatever the option costs, if I had ordered my car new, I don't think I would have selected it. Meh. Who knows. It sure is fancy though. LOL!!
I like the ones in the 7's better. The door shades in those are automatic as well (as opposed to the manual ones in my 5).

I love it. When I want to block out even more light, over the tint and just prevent others from looking in through the rear when I'm driving, I hit the button and let it roll on up. It's a great feature. ![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)

I've had it on both my E60's, almost never put it down. Really helps with the heat...

I love it. As a matter of fact that's one of the main reasons I bought mine. Keep the inside cool, further reduce the light beams from behind,
looks cool from outside especially when comparing to those who use stick-on rear shade

I really didn't care one way or another when I was ordering my car... Until I got the "You may want that when we have kids" routine.
I didn't have it in the e39.
I must say that I "never" put it down, now that I have it.
I love it. I love the privacy from the rear when in traffic, and the heat factor in the summer.
I never use the side shades, but I believe if they were electric, I probably would.
I don't do tint, so I like the shade.

To be honest. I have not used the rear sunshade one single time since I got my car.

I really wish my car had power rear sunshade, what do you guys think of it? Did Anyone try to retrofit that option afterwards? How much will it cost? I will appreciate your input on this matter. Thanks in advance.
Putting the shade up is always a "crowd pleaser"

I leave mine up all the time along with the side shades. As soon as I get the windows tinted, I'll probably not use them anymore except on hot summer days for the added protection

My windows are tinted and i leave them up. It makes it look like my front windows are not tinted which is a plus. And its great for the retards who drive in the city with their high beams.
