I really wish my car had power rear sunshade, what do you guys think of it? Did Anyone try to retrofit that option afterwards? How much will it cost? I will appreciate your input on this matter. Thanks in advance.

To be honest. I have not used the rear sunshade one single time since I got my car.

I've had it on both my E60's, almost never put it down. Really helps with the heat...

Mine is/was up 100% of the time on my last four 5ers. I like the privacy aspect more than the heat reflection aspect...

I've had one from day 1 on my car, but with the windows being tinted, I NEVER use it, it just seems superfluous!

i like the shade, it looks great, protects from the sun and heat. On my e39 i din't have one either and i always thought is a good option.

As far as retrofiting - it might require more then just a shade because it goes into the shelf. So it may be costly and the best solution to do is just tint the windows. They are some aftermarket ones that just go on rear window but they are not powered. I never tried those and i don't think it will be the same

I love it. When I want to block out even more light, over the tint and just prevent others from looking in through the rear when I'm driving, I hit the button and let it roll on up. It's a great feature.

I have one in my car and in the summer highway driving my daughter likes the shade provided. I have tint on my windows but its only 35% all the ay around so the little added extra from the sunshade still helps.

I don't have it, and really never considered it. I rarely have anyone riding in my back seat anyway.
