I agree with njlou...the solution may prove to be worse than the initial problem. Why not get a bra or something which is designed for ur car costs 40 bucks and installs in less than 15 minutes....and you can use it again for the ride back!!! Plus, there will be photos taken of your car as someone else suggested, except not by journalists...by people who are gonna post it on the internet with the title "what the F&%@ was this guythinking?"
In all seriousness though, if ur ok with it noone has a right to judge so I hope it works and does not damage ur pain in the fl humidity

You are liable to have a car photographer take pictures of it thinking it is a new model in disguise.LOL
The only thing I would really worry about would be how the tape is resistant to uv and heat. Some of these tapes are sensitive and become fused to the paint. I have no idea how this tape would react but I think a few phone calls to 3M could be a good idea.
I remember the older tapes that would actually harden on window glass while painting and the tape removal was worse that the paint.

Really, hum. My understanding is that them painters tape come off easily, pretty much no matter what.
Maybe someone can use their superior google-fu and figure it out for us.

What about the front end of the roof and the mirrors?
I have my car to show off and to love it, I would not drive on with tape or a bra on. The tape is a little to risky for me, it can damage the paint or be very hard to remove once it was in the heat.
And once you are in Florida you have to retape it on your way home.

It comes off easily...and as soon as i get to florida it comes off....not driving back...going to move to florida!
Also I just waxed the car before I put the tape on....if that helps.

I'd have the same reservations with the tape and the heat as some have posted. I guess I'm in left field, but my car is getting a twenty hour drive just going to work daily every four weeks. No way I'd tape it, but I suppose if you never get out on the road much it's a different story altogether.
