A little investment in a Miata and it will be faster at autocross and on most short tracks than anything on your list. A Spec Miata is unbelievably capable as a track/auto-X vehicle.

+1000 Having raced in a few different classes (including Autocross) I wouldn't go for any high powered car for this. Autocross has few straights and they are short. The additional power provided by some of these cars will be negated by the smaller cars nimble handling and ability to sling it around a corner. The Miata is a good choice - it's light, quick and RWD.

I have to agree with the Miata. I myself drive an MR2 Spyder which is more then capable and it is mid-engine.
What every you chose make sure it is light weight.

From your list..... I'd go with the Z4 M Coupe.

Since I haven't been given permission to get another car, I just do my autocross/track events in my 6MT 550i. However if I could get a second car for this purpose, I'd go with an e36 M coupe.

Forget ALL the cars on ALL these lists, for whatever type of amateur racing you're doing one of my dream cars works best - the E30 M3. The perfect driver's car is also the perfect club, autocross, endurance, or any other kind of racer you want (other than drag of course). I LOVE the E30 M3 it was the ultimate expression of what a driver's car should be.
