I tried to find the post that refered to an old (I think) BMW Magazine article that profiled the people who did the recordings. I seem to remember the name of the actress who did the voice was Marrietta or something like that. That's what I call the voice. As in "Yes, Marrietta", "I know, Marrietta". "Damn it, Marrietta".

I did ED alone and for some reason I named her Eva within a few miles of the delivery center. Eva turned out to be a great travel companion. Eva is a good German name (Hitler's mistress was an Eva) and it has stuck.

It does seem to me to be a natural name to give "the voice". Correct spelling noted - "Marietta".
