My Ride: 2005 BMW 525i
Just want to start up this topic for everyone
Here's my list.
Z4 2.5 -- at the beginning I wanted a convertible and I tested this car, quick enough for HK road but the ride is a little too harsh for HK road. Steering is too light for BMW car, especailly sport car.
MB SLK 200 -- I felt that this car has a good bargain and it is beautiful. The dealer didn't have a test car so I just tested the CLK 200 for engine. I don't like the engine because the power come really late and you have to push very hard all the time to move the car. SLK 350 will be much better but it costs too much, $120000 only for the engine upgrade!!
Audi A4 2.0T -- discussed with my family & friends and we all agree that I should go for a 4 door instead of 2 door because I quite need the back seats. Tested this car and have to admit that the engine is fabulous. My bro had a 1.8T Avant before and it's great, but this car is much better, and very good value too. But I found the back seats are too small. But highly recommend for people who wants a sport sedan with under $400000 budget. PS. my bro traded his A4 1.8T for the new A6 2.4. This car has the best interior of the class but the drive is :'( , steering like Japanese car.
BMW new 325 and 330 -- they are great except cheap interior material and over-priced. 330 is $500000 without i-drive and made in South Africa and 525 is $565000 and made in Germany plus better interior material and bigger room. 5 has better shape also IMO.
I am sure we all made the right decision.

My Ride: In a place where the Mercedes density is the highest in the world (no. of MB per square kilometer) I choose a Bimmer, why? because of one thing "The Ultimate Driving Experience"
My Ride:
523i Steptronic, Silver Grey Exterior, Black Interior with Black Dakota Leather and Maple Wood Trim. Chrome Grill, Style 123 rim, Airbags everywhere, PDC, Rain sensor, Auto lights, Moveable front armrest, Advance Climate Control, Glass Sunroof, Auto dimming interior and exterior mirror with foldable functions, Extended Lights package, 6 CD changer in glove box, Power seats with memory, Power adjustable steering wheel, Power rear sunblinds.
Add ons: 123 wheels, chrome grill, K&N Hi flow filter, Eibach Pro Kit, e60.net decal and 24,000km
Past rides:
2001 Nissan Xterra SE
1999 E39 523i
1999 E46 323i
1996 Acura Integra LS
Well if you ask me, I consider the 525i, 530i and 545i and since they are all out of budget and I've driven a 523i for 6 years so I stick to what's familiar and I haven't regret it. The engine and the chasis is great, nice shape of the car, good interior finish except loose chrome trim and squeaks on the doors. I love it.

My Ride: 2006 530xi -- silver grey
None other!!!
Have a 1987 325, and always have been wanting to step up to the 5, especially since the new style came out.
Actually I was considering buying a used 2003 e39, but once the awd became available, it made my decision, what with a baby on the way and all....

My Ride: 2013 535i (White with Oyster Interior. Premium Package, Navigation, Technology Pacakge, Park Distance Control, and Rear View Camera)
1. BMW 530i (Never had a BMW before, love the new design)
2. Mercedes E350 (Have too many MB in the family, try to move away. The current design will change pretty soon.)
3. Lexus GS300 (Engin too weak, wish they make GS350. I can't believe IS has a bigger engin than GS)
4. Mercedes CLS500 (Too expensive, and I am still trying not to buy a MB this time)
5. Porsche 911 Carrera (If I am still single, I think I will get it).

1. New 2006 330i Sport - Beautiful vehicle, but with my previous 2003 330i, I always felt that the rear seating was too cramped and although the new 330i has slightly more room, it's still too small back there to throw your buddies / clients.
2. New Gen Lexus GS430. Mainly because it was a V8 & was around the same price of as my 2006 530i, however it just didn't have AWD (which I was looking for - forget about the GS300 AWD) and it was still not as fun to drive as the 5 series.
3. New Toyota 4Runner Limited V8 - this was my less flashy, toned down vehicle, but I knew I was always a car person at heart.

My Ride: -04 530D
here is my list:
Volvo 70: Front wheel drive or only automatic in AWD
MB C: WAY too small to me (191 cm)
MB E280/320CDI: Too less for the money
Audi A4 2,5 Tdi Quatro: OK, but wanted more power
E60: Perfect to me at the time. Powerful, spacious, new styling (got time to use to it), good value for the money, resale value...
