How old is your car and what is the condition of the BMW roundel in your steering wheel?
Mine is a very early 06 model and the BMW roundel in my steering wheel looks 3x its age. Basically, the metal looking circle part looks like it's worn off. I've been searching for ways to replace this since it stares at me everytime I drive.

Luckily it only ended up with a slight scratch.
Now I've got a CF overlay roundel over it,
can't even tell the difference.

2004 looks new but my roundels on the outside have both peeled now. The plastic backing stays on the car but the decal has peeled off, now I just have a silver circle on my trunk.
