Do you really have to remove the bumper to change the headlight bulbs?

[/quote]Could you be more specific about "left hand side light" ? I looked at the lamp assembly the other day because I was also thinking to upgrade the bulb to 5000k too (not 6000k). It looked like that the whole lamp assembly has to be taken out before the lower beam bulb can be accessed. High beam bulb can be changed without the removal of the lamp assembly. There are 2 screws on the top of the lamp assembly to hold it in place. Not sure about the bottom side of the assembly.
Any owner has removed the E60 lamp assembly successfully to replace the low beam bulb ? If there is, could he/she provide the detail instruction to do that ??
