2006 BMW 525i. When I bought it, the dealer called it Orient Blue Metallic. The tag inside the driver's door says "317" which corresponds to Orient Blue Metallic. But inside the engine compartment is a tag saying "monacoblau."

Anyone?

It looks like Orient Blue, but it is difficult to be 100% shure from a picture. Both Orient an Monaco is dark blue. And at some point Monaco replaced Orient in the colour charts, but I am not shure when this happend.

From the pictures I see on the web, it definitely has the same luminosity and reflectvitiy as Orient Blue. The Monaco Blue seems much darker.

another source is to pop open the hood. on the passenger side there should be a black or silver sticker that says BMW, then the color, and the color code is usually on the bottom left of the sticker.

What color blue?? I don't really know, but after seeing your picture, I think the bigger question would be "How do you drive that thing?"

You didn't buy it as new? If not, it may have been in a crash!?

Usually the engine compartment tag saying "monacoblau" is the fact.

Orient and Monaco Blue's are really close colors.

Call the dealer for the facts!
