It could even be titanium silver - depends on which panel you are looking at.

Heh - looks just like my car. These are marketing slicks from the original launch - been around for a few years now. I -think- their marketing shots were all silver gray, but I'm not certain.

My Ride: Ordered 550i ED on 9/24/05. Titanium silver, priority one seating (black), steptronic, sports package, premium sound system, active steering, comfort access, power rear sunshades, navigation, head up display, rear door air bag
I would bet money the color is silver grey. But never decide on a color from a picture. While I don't mean to upset my breathern who own silver grey cars (color is subjective, the car is paramount), the silver grey looks fabulous in the publicity photos. And in full sunlight, the color (IMHO) is impressive. But in moonlight, I prefer the lighter titanium silver color. Plus the lighter color handles dirt better (needs less washing). I am LAZY -- I admit it.

My Silver Gray looks surprisingly clean even when it's embarrassingly dirty.

Right, he probably has it backwards. And, I never look at my car in the moonlight, but I saw it the other night under the lights of an outdoor mall, and it looked great. There was a bright silver MB next to it that looked good, but not that good. For me to see my car in the moonlight I'd have to be parking (don't do that any more) or parking the other way in a place I shouldn't be parking.
