i have the 535xi and love the responsiveness of it. it was between the a6 4.2 and that and i just thought the bmw felt more conencted. wife has the rr sport and it's fun to drive, but it's a different truck. if you want the car to drive on curveys and enjoy then the rrs isn't it, but i will say it's a blast to take off road

The Jaguar XF is worth considering. It meets all those preferences. I haven't driven one.
That would be my choice too. If the four door point is negotiable, I'd also look at the Audi A5. The A6 is also a fine choice, as, of course, is the 535. There's really not a bad one amongst any of the cars on your list and the suggestions so far.

That XF is interesting. Maybe I'll email some dealers for numbers on it....

Thanks

Take a look at the new E350 too, I forgot to add that to my post. It addresses most of the criticisms leveled at the prior generation model and it's getting some positive reviews.

If your lease ends next month that is difficult in terms of timing. I would re-lease for 1 year, then have your choice of the new 5, and the new eclass.
I am probably going to get an MB E550 at my lease end - i like the style and the technology package is crazy.

Funny, I looked at the RR sport as well but think I would miss the driving dynamics of a sedan and would get bored of the RR too quick.

IMO, assuming you are not spending the kind of money to get a Maserati Quattroporte, Porsche Panamera, bentley, etc., the the only real 4 door choices are BMW, Audi and MB. Since the new A6 is at least 2 years out, that leaves the MB and BMW's new (this fall) mid-sized sedans. I would extend your lease and then get one of those 2 cars.

Yeah I mentioned the a6 in my post. I dont like the cts at all. I might extend and look at the MB e350 or hope that the BMW 5 comes out by then....
