What can you do with that USB port?

the USB port is part of the iPod option. I you have it...it will be located in the large compartment under the center armrest. Also, in the iDrive, you will have a USB option under Entertainment/AUX/USB (i think that's how's it's on the menu). IMHO..it's the best option on the car...besides heated seats

isn't the one in the arm rest a aux hole? not a USB?
also, its a stupid location because you need to have that thing open so the wire can come out or else you can't close the arm rest unless the iphone/ipod is in the armrest compartment.

I just leave an old iPod in there, I certainly don't want it on display. My USB port is next to the 3.5mm jack as mentioned above. I did try a standard USB drive but compared to the iPod it was slow to start and slow searching etc. The iPod starts playing immediately and searching is instant - pretty important if using it while driving.
