lol. cool, no problem. i think it's more about a preference of whether you want a car payment (eventually) or not. the gray area is how much money is really being saved/lost, which differs in probably every scenario.

Have you driven one ? I bet it will blow your mind. Moreover, the Nürburgring numbers prove that's one fast car on straights and corners. It's truly the best performance for that money.

Yes I've driven one. My remark might have been a bit overzealous but I'd still take a Euro car over American any day.

I was going to get into an e60 M5 but I think id rather try something totally new-the M3 is out as it is an outgoing model soon. I really dont like the f10 and the 1M is too small and going out of style.

I was thinking about an RS4--I dont know nothing in the BMW lineup seems to fit-I want something with m performance--I am also sick of the S5-too many around.

Its really sad that once I am finally able to afford an M car they do away with the race driven high revving engines-I just dont want a turbo M--

any ideas maybe I am missing here? I want to lease and price range would be 80k or less so no supercars obviously!
Quadruple? Damn what did you do? Go from a McDonalds Fry Cook to a store owner? LOL

You can either get a M5 M3 or M6. S4 or S5. Anything Mercedes AMG. You can get a Bently (probably used mildly). A Maserati Quattre-porte (sp?)

Shit, with a 80k budget there isn't much you can't afford really. I'm jelly

So would I ! I'm sorry I just get really pissed when people use cliché phrases as in "American cars don't handle".
Anyways, Cheers.

P.S. Diamond, you are one fine troll, sir!

i think the key with american cars is to buy new or nearly new (less than 30k miles) and own for no more than about 50k miles. my Z28 was phenomenal, then once it hit about 75-80k miles it was a problem per week. then again, the vette's are probably built with a little more intuition and hopefully last a bit longer. i owned my car for 7 years and only put 52k miles on it.

that being said, i generally dislike ford and other american brands. the cobra's and saleen's were beats, but i don't like the mustang look at all. GM has nothing that is all that deserving of respect except the LS powered cars. also, i love vipers. for the price i would take an LS powered car over any BMW M any day, no offense to BMW.
