My income = $0. I am a very lucky guy that my parents gave it to me as a college graduation present 2 weeks ago. Plus they know that I've lived and breathed BMWs since birth, including visiting the factory in Leipzig, Germany. My dad's in Infiniti guy, buying my mom an M35 S my brother a G37 S. Since getting the 550 though, he's obsessed with it. Go figure!

In a recent (U.S) survey of 2009 E60 buyers the demographics are (450 respondents):
54 years old
73% male
77% college or advanced degree
$263,000 household income

28% had an E60 as their previous vehicle
24% came from another BMW
8% came from a Mercedes Benz
7% came from a Lexus
4% came from an Audi

6 series owners are slightly different that 5 series owners:
52 years old
65% male
72% college or advanced degree
$307,000 household income


Buyers of the 2009 Mercedes Benz S-Class registered the highest household income at $386,000. The Prosche 911 was second-highest at $359,000.

Despite being in the S class household income segment, there's no way I'd spend that amount on a car - it's mental.
