I test drove one before I could afford it. A 550. Drove me crazy. Crazy torque. Big acceleration.

Loved the 540. Beautiful car. But this animal!

So waited til the price dropped. 07. Bought a 545 2004 low milege. What a beast.

Still got it. And now got a sub to roundel, euro car, and BIMMER. This car has a supple tranny and crazy aggresiveness, take a corner I dare ya!

So is it design that made this a forgettable BMW in the old crew's world? Couse it aint perfomance. This is the best out of 6 cars I have owned. And i have had it 4 years.

Viva E60 - BMW you made a great car!

Dean

BTW - thank god for aftermarket warrenty - they have already paid out 12k!

i've had my 550 2 years now, and still get a kick out of driving it. its just a well refined machine, with a nice look to it.

What is the name of your warranty company? I here some don't pay because they use various small print statements to avoid their obligations.

Your are right on!

I am really attached to my E38 due to its classic, timeless styling, easy DIY repairs, decent gas mileage and great interior room when needed for five. So, I started looking for an E39 to add for my wife to drive, but I soon decided the E60 was the way to go.

We have only had it for a month, it is fun to drive and the styling is growing on me. I have added Euro reflectors, window tint and LED license plate lights so far, with more to come.

No doubt the E38 will start throwing codes to get some attention

Glad someone said it.

I absolutely love the E60!

I was driving to work a few days ago... I was about 5 seconds from my office, and running a bit early.
As I passed the entrance to the parking lot, I shifted down into third and gave it the beans, as I thought to myself... This car is the most comfortable, enjoyable place I will be today...
Why not enjoy it a few moments longer!

Don't know what it is about the E60 but its driving me nuts!!

When the F10/11 came out initially I though "no, that's the end of the E60". But you know what? One year on, and the E60 design is stronger than ever. Its just unique on the road. I won't even go into handling, steering and driving dynamics - its no secret that the F10 is much more of a luxury cruiser.

E60/61 FTW

Anyone that knows my story knows that I had every intention on buying an F10 after my lease was up on my 335i. I patiently waited for my dealer to get one in, then they finally called me in for a much anticipated test drive. Maybe it had a lot to do with the fact that I had much love for my 335i, but I was so disappointed with the soft ride quality of the F10 that I took the salesman up on his offer to sell me a deeply discounted new E60.

There's just something about these E60's that just bleeds pure bred BMW. Stick a knife in an F10 and you may see Mercedes blood oozing out of it!
