I have it on mine. It's a cubby area for small stuff and there's a flap door also used as a cubby or can be retrofitted with some dvd player or something. It's part of an option, I think Logic 7 or pro nav - but not sure.

I think it's used for the rear entertainment system (the DVD player) mounts there and the door is how you access the slot to load the discs. On my 2004 car, there was a plastic compartment there where you could store something very small. On my 2008 car, the compartment is gone because that's where they put the HD radio tuner...

I guess you'll also have it when you order Logic7, the amplifier is installed there.
