My Ride: 2008 535i 6MT
![Default](https://5series.net/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif)
Took the day off to drive some BMW's and run some errands. Weather turned out to be perfect.
3 digits hit on all drives ... ![Devil](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/devil.gif)
650i - broke the rear wheels loose at the first light, killer looks, and the seats were very good
X6 - quite the beast; you can feel the weight but it handles like it's on rails; visibility out the rear window is poor; reminds me of the Z4 rear vis
135i vert - good exhaust note; thing had 14K and was pretty beat; had some cowl shake on uneven roads; brakes and seats sucked - no sport package; plasticky bits
750i - like riding on air; funky column mounted gear shift; seats were excellent - ventilated
Didn't drive the E60's since I own one. They had a 550i and a 535i wagon. Drove the 550i last year, hence my 535i this year.
They had an Alpina B7 but were only taking preregistered online Reserves.
Have to remember that next year.
No M3
My ranking:
1. My 535i
2. 650i
3. 750i
4. X6
5. 135i
I'm very happy with the LCI E60.

It's a great event for a good cause. I went and did a similar multi-car test two years ago, and knew I wanted a 530, which I bought the following summer (last June). It's nice BMW gives us the opportunity to make an informed choice AND benefit others.

I was at the same event the day before (Tulley in NH).
To be honest, you didn't miss a whole lot on the Alpina. It's nice, to be sure, but $135K? I couldn't really tell the difference between it and the 750, but then again I didn't really open it up.
Out of all of them, I liked the 650 the best. May have to pick one of those up when I'm done with my 535i.
I felt the same as you do - when I got back into my 535i, I liked it the best out of everything I drove that day.

Nope
I'm guessing they replaced too many clutches. One of the workers said they replaced 4 clutches on the Z4 manual they had there.

That sucks, I was hoping to drive the m3 again. That thing was a blast to drive.
