Hi everybody!!
Thats my first post I got my first 2005 545ilike 6 weeks ago. Damn i love it!!
I have only 1 question What should be the engine rpm when car is warm with steptronic transmition in park position ? I think my is kind of low never more than 500 rpm i've heard it should be at about 600 rpm but my friend wasn't sure... I'd really apreciate your help thanks!!! Great forum by the way!!

My previous 545i idled at 700 rpm. I don't think yours at 500 is any sign of a problem.

With AC on auto, my 2004 545 idles at 500 rpm with the compressor off and more like 700 rpm while the compressor is running.

My SMG 545i idles in the 750 range (but unsteadily and full of 'in spec' vibration) regardless if climate control is off or on. I wonder if the 500rpm idle only happens in steptronics...

My SMG is around 550 to 600 when warm. I thought it was low myself... but it smooth and doenst seem to be having problems so I never questioned it.
