I've noticed that my taillights strobe every so slightly, no real pattern, just slightly brighter and dimmer. strange, I know but I noticed when the car was warming up this morning.

Any ideas?

Oh, it's a 04 5451A

Thanks,

B

Are they LED taillights?? If so they will "strobe" on startup while the car is checking its systems!

could be a led thing i guess. they all dim and bright in unison so i don't think that they would all die at once.

I'll have to check again once the car has been running a bit....

Check the bulb sockets and connectors for corrosion or moisture. Make certain that vibration has not loosened either. Use come bottled air (PC air spray) to eliminate any moisture; I don't know how these junctions feel about dielectric grease to protect the bulb socket or connectors.

If a bulb has a broken filament that may also cause some flicker but I'd think the Light Control Module would detect that ... and last but not least - if that module is beginning to fail, remanufactured modules might be available for a price that is more reasonable than new (Unless Garry's discount is a better deal).
