I notice for the past 2 days when I applied brakes to slowly come to a complete stop, I heard a long whiny sound some where in the rear area, especially prior to the complete stop. It's not a squealing noise from the brake pads. I-Drive still has both my front and rear to be above 20K miles. Hoping someone here has experienced this before and was able to figure it out.

Any opinion is appreciated.

Thanks

Sometimes the noise happens when there's dirt trapped between the pads and caliper. You could try taking off the wheel and inspect.

The sensor could be worn, it starts out kinda faint but gets worse over time

i've the same on my car. when i took it in for its inspection i asked them to have a look at it. the dealer claims it's only brake dust. likewise, the obc has the pads and discs as ok.
removing the wheel and with compressed air, give the calipers a good blasting to remove any dust and dirt that maybe causing the noise.
hope you get it sorted out soon, as it really annoyed me each time i braked!!

I changed my brake pads and rotors before one week and I still hear different noises when I brake

1 when I turn and press the brake lightly
2 before completley stops by second
3 sometimes when I reverse and I touch the brakes
So its okay to hear noises while braking its metal rubbing what you expect to hear waterfalls and thunders

All what you can do keep the calipers clean by washing the rims every few days
