For the last few weeks I have heard a groaning and rubbing sound coming from my drivers seat when it returns to the memory setting upon start up.It is as if the leather is being stretched and tortured
Has anyone had this happen? I have a few months left on my extended warranty and seat motors are included,so thought I would take it into the dealer.Thoughts?

I doubt it's the motor, probably just needs to be greased. I popped the seat back off mine (a little tricky the first time -- google for pics/procedure) and lubed the gears and sliders to make the noise go away. But if you still are under warranty, have he dealer do it for you if you want to play it safe.

Use this reason to get the car into the dealer just before the warranty expires. Get them to look the entire car. You should at least get the yearly oil change, 2 year brake fluid change, new wipers. You could get lucky and maybe they will decide you need new front or rear pads and/or rotors. They may find some other stuff.

Thanks for the info,we will see what the dealer says.I agree I don't think there is a problem with the motor.
