Ok I got into my car this morning and everything was normal. Lights turned on when I opend the door, the little key symbol popped up when I first entered the key into the ignition....then I turned it over, and everything goes dead. All I see is the little red airbag symbol on my dash. I then get out and try my unlock button on my key....nothing happened..(This all seemed very very strange because I just changed my battery 1 month ago).

Then I try the lock button....the car locks. Ok, so then I hit the unlock button and then the interior lights come on etc....get into the car, and it fires up, perfectly.

Then, I go out for lunch....same exact procedure. I get in the car, the interior lights are on, the "dong" sound is going off, put the key in and turn and NOTHING....then I get out, lock the car, the unlock it, get in and it fires up. ????????

Is this some anti-theft prevention? Is my alternator going bad ? Anyone have this situation.
