Weight difference between 335i and 535i...

My Ride: 535i 6-speed
Model Year: 2008
According to the BMW website, the 335i weighs 3605 lbs, and the 535i weighs 3660 lbs. A difference of 55 lbs...? That doesn't seem right. What's the deal?

Exactly right.
The E60 went hard on aluminum and composites compared to the E39. I might be wrong, but I think the E60 actually went down on weight compared to the E39 despite being larger. If it went up, it was only a little. The E90 is significantly larger (and more equipped) than the previous 3. That little E90 is quite massive for its size.
