What set up do you have? Runflats, active steering?

I first experienced weaving during lane changes when I got my R171 SLK 200. Before that I never felt it in my Peugeot 406. Now I drive a 520d automatic, and it weaves when going over the white lines. Is that what happens to you too or does yours weave even when not changing lanes? My father has an active steering 530i and his does not weave even at +200 km speeds. I guess it is a tire caused situation.

mine weavs while in a straight line when not changinf lanes .. should i reduce the tyre pressure of increase ?
the problem that you're likely facing with active steering and runflats is that you most likely have the dunlop DSST runflat tires. This exact combo on slightly grooved/bumpy/not perfectly flat road causes the steering to feel like it pulls to either side. I have this problem and always face it on imperfect road. It is a great pain but I dont think that anything can be done, other than changing to non runflat tires.
I'd prefer to have the security of runflats and a little pull than switching to non runflats. Plus the prospect of BMW changing tires for free is a great proposition.
Hope this helps
