Okay here is the story
On my way up to Sonoma this weekend for a friends wedding. I hit this massive pot hole in emryville. So my rear rim gets bent and I start to lose air. I dont have my spare for some stupid reason I took it out prior cuz I was rubbing with it in. Thats another story. So by chance I happen to be within about 4 miles from Weatherford BMW in berkely or emryville not sure where. So I drive over there with a bent rim. I walk into the show room ask if there was anything they could help me with. After explaining my situation to them they all procedded to say well nothing I can do your assed out pretty much. I fully understand they dont have spare parts just lying around . Im a pretty understanding guy. I proceed to ask do you guys know where I can rent a car so I can get to this wedding. I get NO we dont we only sell cars if you want to buy one then we can help you, I cant help you any further I have so called customers to help who are buying cars.
As simple as I can say I wouldnt buy from that place if I had a gun heald to my head.

Why didn't you call BMW road side assistance? I am sure they'd be able to help you out.

If not, AAA works too.

They show of taken a rim from a car on the lot (which you would have bought frome them) and they could have ordered a new rim for that car on their lot ... problem solved ...

Yeah, why not just press the help button in the car or call roadside assistance?

mill house24:
I did the same thing, pothole - bent rim and blown tire. I was at Mammoth Mountain - 240 miles from the nearest BMW dealer. The roadside assistance folks tired very hard to help get me a PS-2 tire. I didn't know at the time the rim was ruined, it was dark. Roadside assistance arranged, after a couple of hours, to have a tire "overnighted" to me in the mountains. I was worried I would discover a damaged rim and still be stuck. I drove home, 400 miles, on the spare. The dealer should have pulled a spare from one of their cars, pricks.

Thinking of the situation you were in, I would have said that Im interested in the 550 and could I take a test drive? Then you take the 550 to the wedding. Take the bridesmaids for a nice drive in the wine country and drop it off later after stopping at a tire store. Jack your car up in their front lot, and change the tire thanking them for the 4 hour test drive. If all they do is sell cars take them up on their offer.

losing you temper and shouting about the quality of their treatment of the public works too. Managed to get an Audi dealer to clear his show room to move out a show car for me to test drive with this tactic.
