Ack! Perish the thought about putting drag radicals on. The largest DR tire size only accommodates 18" wheels.

If there are DRs for 20" wheels, I would possibly consider them.

Ellevation (sea level better power, higher altitudes less power) is where power numbers drop off for a NA engine, a TT or SC engine makes up for the less dense air charge.
I looked up some other Rav4 V8 numbers and they were in the low 7's high 6's and not close to a 545. A mid 5 second Rav4 is a keeper.

Correct pennetta, but all other weather factors also affect power output. That is why the NHRA states the effective altitude on a given day and time. They take into account all weather and altitude factors and give an effective density altitude to use for correction factors. But these factors are not correct for a FI engine. The weather & altitude have less effect on a FI engine then on a NA engine.

I believe several magazines got low 6 sec runs from 0-60 with the RAV4.I also get low 6 sec runs when the weather is in the 70s and the barometer & humidity are pretty normal.I was just trying to point out that when you have low temps along with a high barometer and very low humidity you can get some incredible times on any car. This is when I get 4.8 times in my 545.Obviously on the same day my 545 would beat my RAV4 by 8 to 10 car lenghts in the 1/4 mile.

grogan545,
Do you do burnouts prior to your runs? I'm pretty sure you do. Once, I hopped into my E63 and found a secluded area. I started a run and went sideways. It was like driving on ice. BTW, the weather was about 55 F and the tires cold. I should have known better.

My best 0 - 60 time is 4.5 on 20" wheels. I'm certain if the tires had hooked up immediately my time would've been lower. If I put the stock 18" wheels back on I can easily get 4.0, no doubt.

Before anyone calls BS on my potential 4.0 0 - 60 time, a stock E63 has already recorded a 3.9 0 - 60. Also, I'm nowhere near stock.

BS! I need to test for myself.

Took you long enough to find this thread and call BS. Ah, what the hell, sure why not?

Um...yea. I'm with him. I think I should personally test it (you know, just to verify veracity)

Excuse me, which engine does your RAV4 have ?

About performance, I noticed that the car loses power if you don't drive her for 7-10 days .
To get it back you have to travel for one hour .
But maybe with 24k miles I'm not completely out of break in .

My Rav4 has the V6 engine rated at 269HP.It only weighs 3700 LBS so performance is very good. Not in a 545 class but still very good for a SUV.
