Very nice job on the mod! :) Can you let me know how you wired that OEM sport button? I also have an LCI 5-series but I only have pin7 and pin9 wired to a generic push button. I am able to get the sport feel now but I would like to have the sport button like yours, but I have no idea how to wire the connectors on that button to light up the LED?

Thanks for your help!

Anyone at all? I have an LCI - so I use pin 7 and pin 9. I have it wired to a generic button with a LED but there is no power going to it. Pin 8 is available on that same row but I'm not sure if that's the power? Will also need to ground it too.

Here's a new push switch that I want to get... I will install it inside the cigarette lighter: 16mm 12V Blue LED Lighted Push Button Metal Momentary Switch for Car Boats DIY | eBay

Any help will be much appreciated! Thanks!

LCI clip

Hello,
How are you LCI guys getting the insides out of the clip casing? I've located the white box and removed the black clip, but I can not get the outer casing off of the clip. I've pried at the top where the wires go in with a screwdriver up to the point of breaking a thankfully non-essential part of the clip. Is there some trick to this, or should I just prying around different places, and hope that whatever is left of the outer clip still retains some functionality?

edit: Done! I ended up cutting out part of the outer casing of the clip to get to the wire sockets. Not pretty, but it worked. Just pushed two pins I bought from radio shack in holes 7 and 9, wired up a normally-open momentary button and everything works. Steering noticeably heavier, shifts higher and lag gone form the accelerator. Definitely different from DS. Now I need to figure how to code the dash and hook up an lighted button.

Mine is a 2008 535i for those of you keeping count.

Gurus,
My BMW 550i E60 is cranking but not starting.
I diagnosed it and i has the following errors.
1. AOB8 Hall sensor start/stop button ,key engaged
2. AOB 2 suppy terminal 30E, 30
3. AOB6 selector-lever interlock

Basically i got the gearbox removed and put back and the car has:
1. not been able to engage the gear lever after its switched on and brake step on.
2. cranking but not starting..plugs not sparking either
3. key not engaging nicely.

Please help urgently.
