Ordered one of those momentary switches with red light. Should be here tomorrow. Did anyone happen to get the exact part number for the wiring pins for the connector? I need to order those from my dealer, right? I have no clue which ones were the right size for that blue connector behind console. Can someone please confirm that info so I can get those ordered too.

Is this a BMW part?
I guess I would need three for the LED, ground and positive *8,9 & 10)...correct? |

Anyone mod LCI models yet?

I guess 6 if you include both connectors for the OEM FDC (sport) button and to the connector in the console. Again, I'm not sure on the correct part number.
I'm still looking for the correct connector to plug into the FDC button. Cheers! Quick question... does anyone know how to take the shifter plate off? I think that would require a whole process to remove. Is there a DIY video? Thanks again! |
:confused: Again ... it's already all over the first couple of pages at the beginning of the thread but maybe :unsure: for some it's rather hard to read them:
Code:
61-13-8-380-696 = universal socket - 4 slot -> under FDC button

Thanks Balbs! Look forward to your findings. As I may just order everything through my local dealer once I have all the part numbers.

Waiting for Balbs to get the connector part number nailed down so that I can complete the wiring. I plan on putting a plug in the middle to disconnect when taking the bezel or center console apart in the future. Simple 3 prong connector with gold plugs should do the trick. Hobby shop has 3 prong servo connectors that would be perfect for this. |
:wow: ... seriously ... nobody noticed the complete parts listed on page #9 post #83 ...
I've completed this very simple mod the OEM way like >4 months ago ... :wacko: ... ahhh well ... |
Thanks to both RAC3 and BlaSTiWi for the information :)

So can somebody answer this question?
I have a 2005 pre lci 535d M Sport with a remap already installed. It's running at about 330bhp with huge torque figures but I'd like to know whether this little mod would further benefit me or be a step backwards. I know somebody else asked this question a while ago but I never saw a response. I would like to do this if it makes a difference but don't want to slow the old girl down. Any response would be hugely appreciated |
