My car is pre lci , 06/2005 build
Call bmw newport, ask for garry and tell him u will like to order the same parts #'s for the bezel auto with sport button ,as me(steli) and he will take care of u ;)) |
I've ordered from Garry a few times. Did you get your wiring harness connection sorted out?
|
not yet,,,is still on the bag :)
i am waiting for a friend to help me out :) |
I wish you luck! Take pics and post the progress as you go. I'll be doing this mod soon. In the end, having the OEM Sport button looks cool! LOL!
|
i never bothered to read this post until now even tho ive seen it since it first got posted, and cant believe i've been missing out, so easy to install and seems like fun.
i will buy the parts to install this hopefully in next couple days....anyone need a DIY or has it pretty much been covered? cant wait. |

|
There can never be enough DIYs. Do it!!
|
i am just lost in "translation" :)
the wires that garry give it to me and they connect on the bottom connector of the sport button...are 4... so i dont know witch one goes to pin#8.witch goes to pin#9 and wich goes to pin #10 in center dash console were the dsc button ..( i have a pre lci) so i know i have to use those pins# "s :) |
finally was able to install this today. i personally noticed a big difference in shifting, take off, and i don't know if its in my head, but like the other people mentioned my steering feels a bit "stiffer" overall it is pretty neat, easy to install and makes it seem like a whole new driving experiance. i can tell ill be wasting more gas using this as it makes me wanna punch it more lol hope you all enjoy the quick DIY video i made.
