Looked there, stuffed with fuses and cdc, nothing close to what i've seen on pre-lci pics. Need to remove cdc for dension, hopefully the fun-plug's there too then.

S205A AUTOMATIC GETRIEBE Automatic transmission You would replace the standard trans VO entry with $2TB and reprogram. I have heard though that the car will automatically look for shift paddles and pop up an error if it doesn't find them. Also is said that you can code them out. |
Thanks bro. I'm well aware of the above. The SAT is only available on vehicles with paddles which is reserved for later years. I know I could code out the errors for paddles but there is no difference in SAT and AG anyway. Car drives fine and is good enough for me to get where I need to go comfortably. If i wanted a ferarri i would have bought one.

I do wonder if the sport trans program makes a difference. I am willing to try it. Never know!

So Im coming into this very late & admittedly have not read all 20 pages of this thread yet.
But this sounds very cool if its the real deal. Hopefully I have a decent enough rep around here to ask these 2 questions & get answers: 1. I have a 2004 545i with Sport (and a Sprint Booster Added). Will this mod provide me performance / fell benefit beyond what I already have? ie: its better than just pushing over into Sport mode? Is it something you can turn on & off? Doe is cause wear & damage on the system? 2. Is there a clean, step by step w/ pictures in here of how to do it? |
Just got mine done today.
Took it for a short drive in the rain (Moderate traffic). I can reasonably say that it is different from DS. The up shift is sooner than DS (less rpm). The drive is smoother than DS. The throttle response time is like DS (need more testing..) Certainly a nicer drive if you're in a hurry. Pre LCI model. Key Start 05. No Dynamic drive. |
I would like to wire up one my udeless programmable buttons on the steering wheel and make it the sport button. Anyone know how to use WDS to find where the ends terminate? Maybe I can just move some pins around. Probably not that easy but I can't see the wiring diagrams on my PC... DAMN!

Because you're using the WDS that needs the plugin. Download Adobe SVG and it will fix ur issue. Adobe - SVG Viewer : For Windows But all the info was already supplied here so there's no need to refer to WDS for this simple mod. |
