Wax before winter ? And no anti rust?
What's up guys? I haven't gotten a change to come on this forum in a long time because of my busy life schedule.. Neways I wanted to ask you guys a question about waxing my car .. This winter I have decide to drive my E60 in winter and I was told from my dealer back in 2011 that the new model bimmers don't need anti rust ? Is that true? I have this paint guard from perma plate that I haven't used yet .. Is that product any good? Please leave you're thoughts and let me know what's the best way of protecting my baby from the cold dirty weather thx in advance.

any way Zaino Store
Paint Sealant JetSeal 109Auto Detailing Resin Paint Sealant/Protectant JetSeal 109
theres some good stuff for you im much more of a polymer fan than a wax fan as the wax just wears off the car so fast .. maybe the newer bimmers have aluminum body thus needing no rust protect?

most vehicle rust starts at the body seams and inside the panels. putting something on the paint isnt going to do anything.
plus, bmw bodies are well made and take a very long time to rust. unless you plan on keeping the car for more than 15 years or so, i wouldnt worry about it.

In addition to rust and corrosion treatments done during the assembly process - no aftermarket treatment will even come close to the dips and sprays done to entire body - BMW is using more and more plastic and aluminum panels that do not require additional rust and corrosion "treatment"! I sometimes giggle when I hear about people spraying the wheel/fender liners to prevent rust ... Don't they know they're plastic ??
The best prevention, even in places once known as the "rust belt", is regular washing with clean water (top and bottom) and periodic waxing of the exterior to protect the finish.
