Hi Baje1!

My office is, and I have the majority of my client base, in Rochester.

I've never seen your AW 545 with those rims around.

I'll keep an eye out.

Nice to know someone else is around the area.

Heated Steering Wheel is the best. I prefer this over the heated seats.

I have two gripes with theheated steering wheel. First, whenyou activiate it, drive it, and turn the car off, you have to hit it agin to start. It should stay on till deactiviated. Second gripe, my wife's head tends to get stuck in the spokes when she uses it for an emergency curling iron.

Packages vary from country to country e.g we dont have a Cold Weather Package in Pakistan although we do have a "Standard Package" which has usual options in a bundle(Xenon, Active Steering, Logic 7 etc). The packages are designed to keep the customers and environment in mind and build an economical package with all the included options a bit cheaper than if all the options are added separately. Unfortunately i couldn't get the Standard Package as it was only for the 530i where i live.

I think the heated wheel are a part of the "comfort seat package", not cold weather package?
That's the case here in Norway. Mind you, as we leave almost on the north pole everty package containig some kind of heat should be standard
But it is not. Heated seats and mirrors are, at least.

Maybe that "curling iron" excuse worked on the cop who pulled you over, but not me. Now really tell us why your wife's head was just under the steering wheel? J/K

Heated side mirrors apparently come standard in the US. They are options in Canada? Too funny!
Heated side mirrors are not standard in the US. They are part of the cold weather package.

I have a heated steering wheel, retractable headlight washers (they are standard), heated seats but no heated mirrors.
BTW heated mirrors are useful not only because they melt ice, but they also dry up water ... and civics are not crappy.
If you have all that, you have the cold weather package and the mirrors should be heated. There is no button for the heated mirrors. I believe it is activated when you turn on the rear window defroster, but if yours doesn't work, you should mention it to your dealer and get it repaired, hopefully under warranty.

I saw some US owners mention "cold weather" package. I have no idea what is it, but I think BMW should have included heated side mirrors standard. My 2000 Civic had it.
All BMW Nordic (Finland, Norway and Sweden) cars have as standard heated seats, side mirrors
and windshield washers.

They should be standard in Canada and in northern US also.
