Thank you for providing that information. Having a hard time understanding Conditions required for switch-on
The switch-on conditions for the bistable relay are:
- Battery connected
- Vehicle unlocked
- Change in condition of door contacts or boot-lid switch???????

Where is this MPM module? I tried looking for it last time since my bluetooth went out, but can't seem to find it. Can you take pics or a diagram?

Trunk - usually in the spare tire bay... unless it was relocated.

I looked for it there, but did not find it. My car is 2006.

Besides the spare tire, I have nothing else in area, and can't imagine anything would connect down there?

06s shouldn't have MPMs, their functions were moved to a different module starting in 9/2005 production. that's listed on the first page of the power supply document on page 1 of this thread.

e60lifestyle, what is the production date on your driver's door jamb? do you have the newer square key or the old metal blade one?

I have an 05 530I and I don't have the MPM in the spare tire compartment. I don't know where it is.

Ah that explains it. I have the newer production E60, no wonder I couldn't find it.
