I got my car last week. A 2006 525i, silver with black interior, premium, cold weather, and Xenons. I love it. However, today it rained a bit. Not too hard just a light drizzle all day long. When I opened the rear doors some water that that was on the outside door sill near the roof fell inside the car. I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this on their cars. Is this normal? I don't think I have ever noticed this on the Honda I had before the BMW. Thanks.

Normal situation for BMWs since the introduction of the E39: There are no rain gutters any longer, and due to the shape of the sheet metal, it tends to collect and then drop into the car. Suggest you keep a towel under the seat to wipe up any drips during the rain. I used to be upset about this, now just annoyed. Someday gutters may return.

Yep, I've been dealing with that issue since 1998. It's really not a big deal -- it's more of a problem when the car is brand spanking new...
