What? Lexus has decided that luxury/sport doesn't mean the equivalent of a cushy, bouncy, boring land yacht?
Here is a video from WSJ that gives previews of what Lexus will be aiming at the 5-series.
Note to Lexus: "um, good luck with that"
Can I get one in bleach white to match my OTHER kitchen appliances?
After all, my toaster is super reliable too.

I don't know about pulling diehard BMW enthusiasts away except when we're frustrated with reliability issues... I'm thinking their real target are Hyundai Genesis and Equus prospects.

Infinity did this with G35S sedan, in the end it's rear wheel drive car but there is no even close BMW 5 series or 3 series. I wonder if Lexus GS is rear wheel drive as well.
