it is very likely that i will go with a DMS remap. it will void the warranty but it is undectable by BMW diagnostics. But what happens if book it for a service or something and they drive it? if they find out, will the engine warranty be void or the warranty for the whole car? if the engine warranty gets viod, i dont mind cause DMS give a 2yr engine warranty.
i dont think BMW will find out, they aint going to dive flat out in the car park.

About the warranty...
I don't know, but I think the warranty for the engine is void. I don't know that a chiptuning would effect the warranty of the whole car.
But I'm not sure.
I know that if you do chiptuning over here in Germany the chiptuner gives you a warranty and your still fine. BMW dealers recommend the ACS tuning, because you don't lose the warranty, you then have ACS warranty. But as I said, I don't know for sure if or if not the warranty for the whole car is voided, I think it's the engines warranty only.

I am sure BMW is able to detect it if they want to.
You would be surprised if you would see what infos your dealer can get from the car... I was very surprised when I've seen to what infos my dealer had access to...
Anyways, I don't think you can really harm the engine... It's a BMW... And with the warranty your tuner has given you you should be fine, I guess...
I am pretty sure they don't say anything, because it's your car. Maybe they let you know they fhey found out about it, but they are not switching it back or something like that. After all it's your car, your decission...

its pretty good considering the power figures. 220bhp and 500nm.
same as 530d.
p.s although it says 470nm in my sig, is has now changed. 25% more torque and 22% more bhp.
