I'm lost.

OH WAIT I LIVE IN SO CAL! I'LL NEVER SEE THIS!

=)

Just kidding my cold weather friends.
Based on SoFL's current experience, you may be surprised one of these days. I bet they never thought they'd see the snowflake either.

BMW really should have tried harder to make their warning signs more intuitive. The combination of the world wide known symbol for "warning" (the triangle), and the obvious symbol to represent "cold weather" (the snowflake) clearly isn't obvious enough Get your act together BMW guys !!
Guys in FL don't know snow, nor the snowflake symbol.

Hey, look at it this way, at least you got to utilize another feature of the e60 that otherwise would have eluded you. Don't you feel like you got your money's worth now?
Yeap, you have a point and definately got my money's worth!!! I love the fact that I keep finding new toys...keeps me busy!

37 deg or lower and you will get that sign and a warning chime...it's the temp that water freezes so it's possible there might be ice on the road...drive safe...

as always... a quick search will get you the info you need...

37 degrees F is 2.77777778 degrees C. Water Freezes at 32F or 0C.

Based on a little bit of research, 37 degrees F has no significant meaning other then the fact, its fucking cold out. i am in tampa and have now seen that 3 times in the past month. There was a post about this recently where i shared my story about coming to work and the bmw owners sitting around discussing the snowflake. some had never seen it and some had seen it and were just bitching about it.

...
Yep.
Isn't it nice to know that BMW engineers think about everything and make sure you get a warning BEFORE it freezes?!
If you're on ice and lose control... and in the same moment you'd get the warning symbol... you'd be pi$$ed, wouldn't you?
Just like in airplanes... you get the warning early, so you can react.

37 degrees in South Florida this AM (wind chill = 28 degrees)

Hey you guys,
This AM turned the car on and drove off for about 2 minutes. I got a warning sign "triangle with a snowflake inside" do you know what is that??? I don't have my manual with me and thought that you folks up north got this message before...
Thanks.
Oh man, your car is screwed. You should sell it immediately.
