BMW really should have tried harder to make their warning signs more intuitive. The combination of the world wide known symbol for "warning" (the triangle), and the obvious symbol to represent "cold weather" (the snowflake) clearly isn't obvious enough Get your act together BMW guys !!
Not fair that you cold weather folks get warnings...how about "hot weather??" I actually thought that something was wrong with my car...I had the car for 3 months and taken for service 4 times, all together 5 weeks out of my hands...every time I hear the chime (Oh, no WTF???) then I get the car back, step on it and it's all good!!!

37 degrees in South Florida this AM (wind chill = 28 degrees)

Hey you guys,
This AM turned the car on and drove off for about 2 minutes. I got a warning sign "triangle with a snowflake inside" do you know what is that??? I don't have my manual with me and thought that you folks up north got this message before...
Thanks.
I got the same warning this am. It happened as soon I turned on the engine. It only lasted for a sec. I knew it had to do with the weather. Really, didn't think it was gonna snow, lol. Hopefully I don't see it again. I moved to Florida for a reason, avoid the cold.

Hey, look at it this way, at least you got to utilize another feature of the e60 that otherwise would have eluded you. Don't you feel like you got your money's worth now?

I guess. I really didn't need the car to tell me that it was cold this am. I hope the weekend warms up. Florida is not supposed to get this cold.
