is there any way to either turn off the audio or quiten down the warning bong??
its driving me mad
at the moment im getting warning bongs for seatbelt/bulb out (led's) and speed limit exceeded, now i want to keep the warning info but need to quiten down the chime.
im fitting resisters to cure the constant bulb out chimes but want the limit and seat belt lights, but dont like the bong/chime.
any ideas?

Low tech but effective:
On other cars, I've covered the piezo or speaker responsible for the "bonging" with removable plastic such as electrical tape. Completely reversable.
I'm not sure I'd do it to the E60 though - a lot of information comes out of that speaker.
Plus, the speaker probably has a diagnostic sensor that monitors its own volume and starts bonging if it gets too low.

there must be a way/fuse to turn this off?
is the speaker for the chime/bong a dedicated one? if so where does it live, i could definatly live with the tape option, but if the speaker has other imputs i will pass.
