If those are your only options then go with the 166, gotta love how aggressive it looks. The problem is that it's too common now so may be look into other wheel styles unless you can find a great deal onthe OEM. I have no feeling for the 172. No offense to those who has it.
Depends where you live. I've never seen 166's on anything except an M5 out here and I've been driving my car with 166's on since 2008. Not a single time have I seen another car with 166's in Chicago or its suburbs. Depends on location.
