I think I really lucked on this. I wanted the car a certain way and the dealer was able to locate the car I wanted and had it flatbed'ed to the dealer. It arrived there yesterday. The best part is apparently this car just arrived in the states so it has not been sitting around for a while. The car was built the week of January 25th and released for export on February 2nd.

Best part of all this is I finally get the car I have always wanted. This will be my first BMW and I have wanted to get one for a long time.

Congrats on your decision. I was in the same boat as you (pun intended). Car finished production in the same week. Picked mine up on Feb 26th from the dealer. Also, this is our first BMW. My previous car purchase was almost 14 years ago! Those Toyota's last a long time - still have it with 210,000 miles and no problems.

Have fun with your car. You will enjoy it! I know I do.

Ya know whats funny is that I went to the dealer to look at the 530i. i figured the 545i was out of my price range. I already knew about the 255hp for the 06. The salesman talked me into the 545i (like thats hard to do). He let me drive 3 seperate cars too. One was a 545i with sports package, one without and a 530i without sports package. The 545i is just a different beast all together. The 530i even with 225hp is by no means slow in fact I was pretty surprised how quick it is. And the 6 cylinder engines sound so sweet too. The 545i seemed to be alot quieter.
