it's the brake booster. went through it on my 545, our 750 is next. the first symptom is a hard brake pedal on start up. have not felt it on the 745 yet.

If this post does become a sticky you will forever be known (or at least for a year) the guy with the V6 530i. Hope you are making out OK with the repair job on your car... any new squeaks? It looks like a sweet ride!!
