I retrofitted the voice control system (I thought it was included in the Pro Nav option )
It's so amazing ! The system understands sooooo much voice commands ! Even the name of the radio stations ! And a lot of commands are faster than with i drive selection. I really enjoy it !

And you ?

Did the dealer fitted it for you? If so, How much did they charge you? I've read the accessories booklet and it said ?50 for the parts. Just wondering if there is any hidden charges behind e.g wiring if needed.

Thanks

Hi OliverB:

I don't care too much for the VC system. The ghost in my machine doesn't understand me very well. So, we argue alot, and then I say things to him I know he won't understand just to see what he comes up with. What he says is pretty entertaining sometimes. I'm very glad you are enjoying VC though.

Is it a guys voice or do you have the option of choosing a female voice? It's more entertaining to argue with a woman!

Mine is a guy. The nav voice is female. But, unlike most I know, she won't agrue with me. On the other hand, like most I know, she just give commands, checks to see it they have been followed, and, if not, gives another command. It's sort of VC in reverse.

We have voice control to, and use it alot!

It's great!

The things I say the most to her is: CD Drive, and Map !

Try to say "Vent, or heater" which is for the vent settings that will warm or cool down the cabin before you enter the car... If you tell her "vent" you can really talk with her some minutes!

One little quirk I have found with my VC is that it hardly ever understands the first command I give it after sleep mode. Odd.
