Hello Members - besides being a fellow E60 owner, I am also involved in the automotive industry. I recently sold a VIS Demon-style trunk lid for the EVO X. I really like the design as it offers a different style of the duckbill. After light discussion with VIS they provided me with enough information to spearhead this project.

The sample is off the photos I took from the EVO X. Needless to say the trunk lid will be shaped for that of the E60. Furthermore I'll also do area for the license plate to be that of the M5. So it'll be compact and shaped for the plate like THIS instead of the regular E60 like THIS. Lastly the roundel placement will remain in the area below the duckbill.

Production will take 4-6 months from the time I place orders. Price is around $800 before S&H cost. Group Buy requirement is 15 people.

So is this just a regular CF trunk, or does it have some kind of design like the CSL, lumma, etc.?

The styling is a referred to as DEMON-style by VIS Racing. Look at the link with the samples off the EVO X. Photo #6 shows a profile shot of the duckbill. The construction of the hood will be the same - fiberglass reinforced plastic skeleton with carbon fiber weave top layer and clearcoat finish.

Someone should do a photoshop - this is too theoretical and I doubt people would pick this up without a good visual presentation. I do like the idea, but maybe a smaller spoiler.

I think people would love to see a trunk with a slightly smaller spoiler than the CSL trunk has. Think along the lines of RD Sport spoiler, but molded into the trunk and slightly narrower. Also, perhaps, building the trunk finisher into it would be an added benefit - I know I love my trunk finisher.
